Hatha Yoga classes focuses on the physicality of yoga. We explore poses to simultaneously build strength and flexibility. We provide a full body workout which includes sun salutations, lunges and balancing poses.
The first 30 minutes of class emphasis the Yang “masculine” aspects of yoga, building strength and endurance. The second 30 minutes of class incorporate the Yin “feminine”qualities of yoga such as restorative postures that promote increased flexibility. The class provides a balance between yin and yang elements to you can benefit for a holistic class.
Serenity Yin Yoga and Meditation:
Yin Yoga consists of passive floor poses held for longer breath counts that promotes deep relaxation and well being.Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine.A flowing class with a slower rhythm, focusing on balance, strength, flexibility and breath followed by a 10 minute meditation.
